Long story short, I spent all of May organizing my dad's end-of-life care and then a big chunk of June was taken up handling things after his death. It’s a story that boggles the imagination, and I’m torn between wanting to share the absurd details and not wanting to trauma dump, but suffice it to say, it involves my father hitting his head and having a stroke, the owner of his house kicking him out as soon as he got to the hospital, and a missing 10,000 dollar check. It’s honestly bananas, and if we ever run into each other at a con, I’ll share all the sordid details you’d like.\n\nBut all of that is to say, I missed the May issue, and I am very sorry for that! The plan now is to have a double issue in August that combines our WET and DRY issue and to catch up on everything else I’ve missed while I took a sudden and unfortunate hiatus from everything.           looks like a stormy night, two girls holding shells

          echoes of drowned lovers. they kiss & i know her
\nby the long summer still under her nails.

          the way she bring me waves, brings me wind
\nwhen i still look like/feel like a man.

          i know then she sees me stuck on shore,
\na mortal hoping for the goddess

          to bless their face with tomorrow. tomorrow
\nis almost here/feels like a far-off

          impossible land. but i know her, the girl
\nburied in the sand of memory

          she who was fearless in all waters
